Administrative Bio:  Welcome to fourth grade.  I have been preparing young people for the challenges that will face them as they grow for eleven years at St. Joseph School.  Having also taught at schools in Atlanta, GA and Memphis TN, I have over 20 years of experience in education.  I strive to encourage my students to develop their faith, independence, communication skills, and responsibility. Wow! How do I tackle all of these goals?

Throughout the year we learn about our faith and how to use it in our daily interactions with friends.  Our faith guides us through our academic life as well.  Using science discovery kits,we have fun learning how to care for the environment and discover the wonder of God's plan in creating the universe.  My fourth graders create presentations as they use research skills to discover the history of the United States.  One activity that I really look forward to each year is our annual Poetry Tea!  The beauty of language is explored  as students are actively engaged writing and learning poems.  In fourth grade my students are involved in a process which allows them to take ownership of their studies and actions and to have fun at the same time!
