Our program implements activities directed toward the Five Principle of Physical Fitness: 1) Strength; 2) Endurance; 3) Cardio; 4) Body Mass: Lean vs. Fat Tissue, and 5) Flexibility. These are achieved through frequency, intensity, specificity, and progression of the activities.

Each P.E. class meeting has a format of: 1) Warm-ups; 2) Aerobics; 3) Cooperative Challenges; 4) Activity Stations; 5) Game Play; 6) Presidential Active Lifestyle Program (optional). We encourage daily activity to meet our physical activity goals (through the President's Lifestyle Program) at home, at recess, and at Extended Care.

We at St. Joseph Catholic School believe that being healthy is important for the body, mind, and spirit. Each class has a “Five Minute Bite” of health relating to the “whole” child. Our health program is God, Christ, and Bible based, fostering good sportsmanship, leadership, sharing, and loving one another.

I have been at St. Joseph Catholic School for several years and absolutely love it! I am privileged to have students from Pre-K through 5th grade, watching, encouraging, and teaching from an early age until they are 5th graders and ready to move on!

I look forward to teaching your child. Come and visit us!
